Finally! The Beta release of “The 9 Squares” MP3
Nov 12th
“Blessed are the curious for they shall have adventures.” ~ Lovelle Drachman
Well, that was more of an adventure than I was expecting. I recorded this mp3 numerous times until I got a copy where the sound quality was fair and the file size was not overly large. You can listen to the file right here, or you can hopefully get a download of the file by subscribing to my RSS feed. I haven’t verified that feature as working yet, being able to get a copy of the file from my feed, but I will know soon. Is that whole thing about my RSS feed gibberish to you? Well, email me and I will try to help. You need to know at least a little bit about RSS if you are going to be effective in your time online.
I wanted to thank Martin Laine from 1pixelout.net for the WordPress plugin that I am using on this blog. I am not the most technically savvy and I was able to fairly quickly get the plugin uploaded and configured and working. What you will be hearing on this post is directly the result of my material playing thru Martin’s plugin. Thank you Martin!
Do listen to this mp3 in a quiet and safe location. Do not use it in your car! Do not use it where you can be interrupted! Turn off your phones and treat yourself to some time just for you. Send me comments and experiences please. This is the beta version and I am working on the full release version for release around the 1st of December 2007. I would love to be able to take your experiences into account when I am tweaking the next version! The player is below. Try it out!

Let’s Do It!

This is my “depressed stance.” When you’re depressed, it makes a lot of difference how you stand. The worst thing you can do is straighten up and hold your head high because then you’ll start to feel better. If you’re going to get any joy out of being depressed, you’ve got to stand like this. ~Charlie Brown
Now, we have had enough explanation of the NLP based technique for installing peak states…let’s take it for a test drive.
Here is the picture of the 9 squares again for review. Copy and blow it up so you can have it in your hand while you go walking thru the spaces.
Now, choose any state you want to install or amplify. For fun, how about “being committed to making your dreams come true”. More >
How to Install a new Peak Emotional State Part 5

Restlessness and discontent are the first necessities of progress. ~Thomas A. Edison
Reviewing again…a quick recap: We are going over a NLP based technique for installing or strengthening a peak emotional state. This technique is one of the most powerful that I have worked with, where the user of the technique does not need to be an expert in NLP, and does not need to have someone to work with them on the procedure. I was trained in a different version of this technique in my early NLP training in 1993 (Thanks Lara Ewing!) and it has been a “go to” tool in my toolbox since that time. Over time, say perhaps 3 to 4 weeks of using this technique for as little as 20 minutes per day, a person can transform an area of their life.
For me, I became so fond of this technique, and used it so long and so often that I had to have the carpet replaced in my office…there was a beautiful square outlined in masking tape residue and wear in 9 squares in the fabric of the carpet. Even now, 14 years after first learning this technique, I still use it with and for myself when I am making a change. I will use other techniques as well, but I always put this one in the mix…it is that powerful!
Part 1: You have selected the first emotional state that you would like to install / generalize / strengthen.
Part 2: You have gotten some leverage on yourself about why having this state will be a great thing for you.
Part 3: You are in the center square of the grid and you are accessing as much of the state that you are working with as you can.
Part 4: In the 4th part of this process, you will be moving into a new perspective and gathering more information that will strengthen the experience for you.
So, back to the technique. You are standing in the center square and you have accessed as much of the state as you can. Now, you are going to step forward and to your right, stepping into the place of casual observers in your future. This is a very useful perceptual shift. You are taking the new peak state with you and these casual observers from your future, people that you have just met in your own future are seeing you with this new state. They are experiencing you with this peak emotional state and they like what they are experiencing! Even though they have just met you, or perhaps just observed you for the first time, the you that they are observing, with this peak emotional state is affecting them positively. What positive messages do they have for you, that can make this experience for you of this new state even more complete, even more transformational? Once you know that they have some positive messages ready for you, step back into the center of the square, face the square you just came from and receive those messages. Say them out loud. Let them, the messages, add to the experience of this peak emotional state for you.
Now you will cycle thru the rest of the squares in a similar fashion: More >

Part 4: In this, the 4th part of this process, you will be moving into a new perspective and gathering more information that will strengthen the experience for you. Before we begin that though, I need to take a short side trip and talk about anchors and triggers and how you can use them for yourself.
