So, Wanna be a genius in 3 weeks?
Oct 24th
I am convinced all of humanity is born with more gifts than we know. Most are born geniuses and just get de-geniused rapidly. ~Buckminster Fuller
Later today I will be teaching a technique at one of my seminars that I call “The Emotional Generalization Technique”. This is an extremely powerful technique that rapidly helps someone install and generalize new emotional responses. In other words, this technique when properly practiced, gives you new emotional responses to the same stimuli. If you were responding negatively, (or less than optimally for the results that you were trying to achieve) in the past in certain situations or even habitually throughout your life, this technique will make a difference. If this technique is done properly and regularly, the results can be outstanding.

Respect every one of your emotions but question their timing.

Since the house is on fire let us warm ourselves. ~Italian Proverb
There are no bad emotions or to say this another way, every emotion or emotional response is useful somewhere. I was thinking of this today as I prepared to give a seminar tomorrow on peak emotional states. I will be teaching people to elicit in themselves extremely useful emotional states and then I will teach them how to either anchor them so that they can be recalled on demand or how to use them as habitual states or baseline emotional responses. I will be very focused on states like flow and certainty and confidence tomorrow and this makes sense for the purposes of the seminar.
My point this evening is really about making any part of your emotional response “bad”. I don’t think there is any good to come from making any of your responses bad. However, it may serve you to have different responses at different times. More >

“I love being a writer. What I can’t stand is the paperwork.” ~Peter De Vries
I am going to be a best selling non-fiction author. This is going to be a significant part of my future life and my future income.
Wow! I feel the electricity running down my spine as I write those words!
I start all work with a client or with myself with this analysis:
- What do you want?
- Why do you want it?
- What will it be like when you get there? (Visceral, exciting and compelling descriptions only please!)
- How soon will you make this happen?
- How will you know when you get there…how will you measure this?
- What actions do you need to take to achieve it?
- What do you already have or know that will help you?
- What do you already know that you will need to learn?
- What do you already know are obstacles that you will need to get past?
- How will you keep yourself on track?
- What actions will you take starting right now?
So here is my own analysis for me on this goal, my analysis for me about my own fierce intention:
I just said what I want: “I am going to be a best selling non-fiction author. This is going to be a significant part of my future life and my future income.”
Here are just a few of the reasons why I want this: More >
More About Transformational Perspectives
Aug 22nd
“The thing always happens that you really believe in; and the belief in a thing makes it happen.” – Frank Lloyd Wright
Before you can begin to build the perfect perspectives for yourself, it is very useful to understand how negative perspectives work. They are extremely powerful. Most of the ones that I see people struggling with affect every aspect of their lives. Let’s look at one from my last post.
“I have so much to do. I just don’t know what to do next.” It is useful to look at this statement, this perspective from a number of different levels.
- What can of actions will this person in this perspective likely take? What will be their likely behaviors from this place? (I will say from experience, that most people from this place will likely be overwhelmed and take little or no action. Or they will go from task to task, trying to get something going on 30 things at the same time and end up making no real progress at all on anything!)
- How will a person in this perspective likely feel? (How about depressed, stressed, tired, overwhelmed, abused, sad, defeated…now there is a potent cocktail of emotional state! Shaken, not stirred, served with a twist and deadly for sure!)
- How will a person in this perspective influence others around them?
- By being in this perspective habitually, on a regular basis, what will a person start to believe about themselves, the world around them, and their own likely future?
- Let’s say that person spends just 10% of their time in this perspective, day after day, (and I know people that spend 90% of their time in this perspective!), how will this affect their ability to manifest their desired destiny…leveraged over a lifetime?
More next time…and yes, we will fix this!
Are Your Habitual Points of View Holding You Back?
Aug 21st
“Luke, you’ll find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly upon our own point of view” – Obi-Wan Kenobi speaking to Luke Skywalker – from the “Star Wars” Film Trilogy
I am going to be writing about points of view, perspectives if you like, for the next few entries. Once you understand perspectives, even just being aware of what they are and how they work, you will be in powerful place to start to positively influence yourself and influence others.
Let’s start with some examples of perspectives:
Disempowering:
“My Life is a Mess!”
“I have so much to do, I just don’t know what to do next.”
“They gave that promotion to someone else. This company stinks.”
“I am so depressed. I just can’t get myself to do anything.”
“No one loves me, and they never will”
If am sure that you have heard these statements, or something very similar, from yourself or others.
Empowering:
