I intend to release 5 Ebooks between now, November 13th, 2007 and November 12th, 2008. It feels great to say that! I intend to use this blog as a way of ensuring that I continue to consistently put effort into these books. I also want to use the blog to get initial feedback from my writing and to develop an audience ahead of time.

Each book will go thru at least the following steps:

  • Research
  • Topic Selection
  • Testing of material with coaching and consulting clients (everything I am currently writing about has already been thru this stage)
  • Promotion of the development blog on other similar topic blogs
  • Chapter and subtopic area selection and enhancement
  • Writing to rough draft stage
  • Seasoning…leaving it alone long enough that: “It looks like some foreign alien creation” to paraphrase one of my favorite fiction authors Stephen King
  • Rewriting
  • Landing Page creation for monetization
  • Affiliate Sales research and contractual agreement
  • Ebook cover development
  • Beta testing of shopping cart and landing page and reading by trusted advisors
  • Release thru direct sales and affiliate sales

I will write about each of these stages and what I learn about them on the way. I look forward to comments and suggestions along the way from you, my loyal readers.

For tonight, here is the first topic that I am going to release a book about: How to Make Your Business 100% Referral Based. This is an area where I have significant expertise and I work with most of my clients on moving their business model to a referral basis whenever possible. Not doubt I will enhance this Headline or book title as I go and I will certainly add some headline benefits. Question? What would you, my readers, love to see in a book about this topic?
